GOOD REFLECTION MOODBOARD!
DISTORTED REFLECTION
ANTONIO GUTIERREZ
IMAGES OF THE MIRRORS BELOW ARE MAGNANI'S - PLEASE MOVE THESE BELOW GUTIERREZ'S
Antonio Gutierrez is a photographer who specialises in reflection. He uses glasses filled with water to magnify the models features. This makes the model more odd looking or deformed.

PROVIDE A TITLE AND EXPLAIN THE AIM OF YOUR SHOOT.
With this image, I darkened the background and focused more the the reflection in the water. I made the colour more yellow to make a contrast between the darker colours. WWW is how the contrast with the yellow and the black stands out. Also i like how the person is in focus and not looking at the camera. EBI the light in the water was dimmer so it made the main object stand out more.
FLEUR - YOU ALWAYS NEED TO SHOW THE ORIGINAL IMAGE AND THEN, SHOW YOUR PHOTOSHOP SCREENSHOTS AND THEN, YOUR FINAL IMAGE. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR ORIGINAL ENLARGEMENTS AND THEN, WWW AND EBI FOR BOTH OF THE ABOVE IMAGES.

First, I made the background black to make the model stand out. Then I focused more on the person and made their skin tone less yellow. WWW was how the glass reflection made the models eyes bigger and more fish looking. EBI the background was already a solid colour and I didn't have to photoshop it and the persons face was less gritty.

sebastian magnani
PLAGIARISM - ENSURE YOU PUT ALL WRITING INTO YOUR OWN WORDS, OTHERWISE YOU COULD BE DISQUALIFIED.
sebastian was born in 1985 in switzerland. He got into photography while training as a media designer in 2006. After he did five years as a creative in an advertising agency he decided to turn it into a profession. Since this time he has been making a living as based in Zurich switzerland. he now works with loads of subjects where he gets the medias attention and been published on many newspapers, magazines, tv shows around the world and websites.
With these images, Magnani does this by putting a mirror on the floor and seeing the reflection upwards in contrast to the ground. he turned his advertising agency that he has been doing for five years, into a profession

With these images I used photoshop to create more contrast between the floor/background and the reflections in the mirror. By doing this, this makes the reflections the main focus on the image and draws the audience to the mirror.
BEAUTIFUL IMAGE! YOU CAN EVEN TRY ROTATING IT A BIT IN PHOTOSHOP, IN ORDER TO STRAIGHTEN IT SOME MORE.

reflection of colour
INCLUDE YOUR ARTIST RESEARCH SECTION HERE AND THEN EXPLAIN THE AIM OF THIS TASK.
The aim of this task is to try create shadows and contrast colours within shapes and patterns.
All I did here was brighten up the colours and make every colour I used stand out. Each colour is sharply separated from each other. WWW is how the colours reflect off each other and can clearly see the differences of shapes compared to the others. EBI is if i could make more shadows using darker colours with the same shape. Also i could have taken the photo from different angles and photoshop those images.
INCLUDE WWW AND EBI FOR THIS TASK. DID YOU ACHIEVE YOUR AIM?
STRAND 1; REFLECTION IN FASHION
Mario Testino is a photographer of fashion. he photographs for magazines like Vogue, V Magazine and Vanity Fair. He has helped the success of leading fashion, creating emblematic images for brands from Gucci, Versace, Micheal Kors and Burberry to CHANEL, Estee Lauder and Dolce & Gabbana. He has been a photographer for 40 years. His work inspires me to look trendy outgoing styles. What I could've done better is dress my model in more outgoing clothes instead of simple, basic clothing. To make it more dynamic i changed the background to be more colourful. I also inferred it into "LONDON FASHION" instead to make it more
In this strand, I am doing reflection of fashion. In this it will contain different kinds on london fashion. This will not only capture London's culture but the reflection in ones self. This then will lead to multiple images of people around london in the fashion they commonly wear. These images inspire me to look out for models who wear outgoing clothes and use fashion to reflect their self image.
WWW is how the stripes all connect but they're in different directions to make it dynamic and stand out. I also like how the 'shadow' came out and looks more three dimensional and brings out the model. EBI is each photo had a different colour background to see how would turn out maybe with a blue stripe background or a white stripes background.
STRAND 2; SELF REFLECTION
TOM HUSSEY
Tom Hussey is an american photographer who specialises in commercial advertising and lifestyle photography. One of his most famous work is when elderly people look in the mirror and see their "own" younger self. How I interpreted it was using a mask for the reflection in the mirror and using it as "the devil" or "the evil" that is within some people. Or the same person pulling a funny face to show their unserious side.

The aim of this shoot is to show someones inner self. Using the mirror, you get to see their reflection and show off what they're personalities are like. WWW is how it turned out in photoshop and there is no overlapping. EBI is if I could make the photo in black and white and only have the reflection in colour. I also could have toned down the yellow in the first shoot and had her face showing more.
GOOD HALLOWEEN SHOOT! DESCRIBE THE AIM OF YOUR SHOOT, SHOW ALL 3 IMAGES YOU SHOT, YOUR PHOTOSHOP EDITING, AND INCLUDE WWW + EBI. (ALSO, TRY TONING DOWN THE YELLOW IN PHOTOSHOP...)
STRAND 3; REFLECTION IN THE SEA/WATER
ALIKA BRAINE
Aliki Braine Is a visual artist. Originally from France, she studied Fine Art BFA at Ruskin School, Oxford University and took her MA at The Slade School of Fine Art. She then went on to complete an MA in the History of Art at the Courtauld Institute.
Aliki Braine’s work is interested in exploring the physical nature of photographic images. She often
cuts, folds, draws on, punches holes or overlays her negatives with adhesive labels. This changes the perfect picture forcing the viewer to acknowledge the photograph as an object and the image as a construct and opening up a new understanding of the photographic process.
I particularly liked the punching hole in pictures, I wanted to take this further by creating reflections through the holes

hayley warnham
A London based designer and illustrator, Hayley Warnham, is employing collage to help make sense of the world. At the moment she is currently undergoing an MA in Visual Communication at the royal college of art. She spends most of her time creating playful compositions from bold graphics and found imagery. The main thing Hayley does is that she takes photos mainly of people, or sometimes objects, and fill them in into a block colour. The colour is normally bright and vibrant and contrasts with the colours she uses around it.
the way i interpreted is mainly the same way as she has done it. however i changed the colour of the surfboards to the opposite colour of the person and made their hands and shadow a darker colour of the original colour. what i couldve made better is edit the actual photo first and made the background more vibrant and colourful or blurred out the people.
in these images i used photos i took on holiday in cornwall and the park near my house. using these two together i thought would be a good idea as it will show the contrast between two completely different places, one place meaning a lot more to me. the one that meant more to me is the one in the mirror. i did this to show that something like a bunny/toy could mean something to a child, whereas for me, the thing that means something to me is the place. what i could've done better is make the image in the mirror.

Laura Williams studied in Brighton and Cambridge and lives in the UK. Her images are Surreal. The first photo above is called Invisible. I like the way she uses the mirror to reflect what is behind the sitter which makes it appear the sitter is in part invisible. In the second picture, she uses scale to give the surreal illusion of a very large birds nest. In my pictures I wanted to continue the Surreal theme, using a mirror, but the mirror reflecting a place I would rather be than in the place the photo is taken.
FINAL PIECES!

Fleur - remember to change the text to green when you've made corrections from my red comments.
Remember to show all of your Photoshop edits/screenshots for each edited image you make for every section. You can also describe how you've created them if you didn't remember to take the screenshot.
Take our image of Katya behind the wine glasses and make it black and white, correlating this more to Antonio Guttierez's work - while you're doing this, go back and further edit the edges of the glasses, as right now, the edges aren't very smooth.
Respond to all of my red feedback.
With your www and ebi sections, please turn them into full sentences so if the www and ebi are removed, the sentences still make sense.
Include the Photoshop edits of your Halloween shoot and evaluate these images and the ones below that shoot.
Whenever you're shooting, think about the composition of your images and what's in the background. Try and find backgrounds that won't distract from your subjects.
In your Reflection in the Sea/Water, I'd like you to include several artist research sections and what your intentions are for these pieces. Right now, it's not clear what you're aiming to do and what your final strand is. Remember, any images that you create using Photoshop need to show the Photoshop screenshots and include how you created them.
Upload all of your images that you shot at the beach into a contact sheet.
For the image you have with the photographic dots, create an artist research section on the work of Aliki Braine.
For the image of the coloured silhouettes, create an artist research section on the work of Hayley Warnham.
For your very final pieces, regarding further developments, I would like you to do a new photoshoot where you'll be able to incorporate the images that you took from the beach and place them into scenarios that are a bit less obvious - the images of the beach maybe can be in the background, as if your images of the beach are your memories - or something like you did where you put the images of the sea into the windows. Definitely include human subjects in your images but this time, don't have your subjects looking directly into the camera - perhaps they are doing something else. For example, maybe they are reading a book and you shoot this from above and behind the subject and the pages of the book are the images of the sea. Try working at something like this and continue to use your creativity to come up with different ideas.
